The JATA’s annual meeting was held at Keidanren Kaikan, Tokyo, on 21 June 2018. As guest speakers, Mr. SUGA Yoshihide, Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Mr. ISHII Keiichi, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and His Excellency Mr. Gayrat Ganievich FAZILOV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, addressed the audience.
The Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) seeks to improve the quality of services provided to travelers to and from Japan. It contributes to the development of the travel and tourism industry through a variety of activities, including information dissemination, cooperation among members, and the promotion of the development of businesses and legislation that will benefit its members and the industry at large.
The JATA has been holding international tourism fairs in which Madagascar has systematically been represented. The fair is an important opportunity to promote tourism in Madagascar and contributes to the development of the tourism sector in the Big Island.
