Opportunities for Japanese investors and a stable investment climate.
The Japan-Madagascar Business Forum which also took place today is part of this new phase between the two countries. For the President and the Malagasy Delegation, this was a chance to present the opportunities, especially in dynamic sectors, in order to attract Japanese investors in a country where many reforms have been carried out it improve the business environment. These reforms focused on business registration, land ownership and construction, trade laws, cross-border trade or fiscal administration but one of the most important surely is the adoption of the law on Public-Private Partnerships.
In front of investors and Japanese business representatives, the President Hery Rajaonarimampianina stressed the importance of promising industries such as renewables energies or agriculture. The President also showcased the opportunities in the mining industries as well as biodiversity but also in new IT technologies, textile, infrastructure, especially knowing that, given Madagascar young population, the workforce is very dynamic.
